WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT BODYWORK:

I enjoy giving people the amazing gift of massage. I enjoy helping people relax and learn how to take care of their bodies in this world that often does not do a good job of teaching us how to do these things. I enjoy watching people making connections between the tension in their bodies and how they deal with the stress in their lives - the recurrent patterns of thought, belief and action that they choose that create their physical tension.

BIOGRAPHY:
I grew up in a small town in Ohio, lived in Minneapolis on and off for ten years, moved to California for massage school and then lived on the Olympic Penninsula in Washington State for a year. In 2003, I moved to Duluth and met my future husband a little over a year later - we have lived here in our home overlooking Lake Superior ever since! I have been a massage therapist since 1997 when I attended Heartwood Institute in the mountains of northern California, and received over 600 hours of bodywork training. My massage technique is a creative and intuitive combination of the modalities I have studied, including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Foot Reflexology and energy work. I have continued to study the emotional connections to the physical tension in our bodies as well as healthy nutrition, yoga, Buddhism and Evolutionary Astrology. I also enjoy camping, travel, canoeing, snowshoeing, swimming, gardening, biking and visiting with my family at our cabin on Bright Lake in Ontario, Canada.
